Erik Verboom taught himself programming in high school and went on to study Game Development in Breda.

During his studies he became fascinated with the idea of an Artificial General Intelligence. He started a personal Research & Development project into the possibilities of AGI that he has worked on in some form ever since. Alongside this he has worked in various IT and software development roles, and has been a software development trainer since 2020.

From 2020 onward he focused on a specific problem in support of the larger AGI project: an algorithm to turn bitmap images into vector definitions. These efforts led to Bobtail.

Peter Slaa studied Information Technology & Communication at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and then went to work in software testing. He started as a consultant and progressed from junior tester to test manager, and has since accumulated over 15 years of experience as test manager and people manager, overseeing up to 60 people in his department.

As a manager he has been responsible for quality control on many software delivery projects, covering the quality process across the entire SDLC and working with industry standards such as ISTQB and TMap, and with delivery frameworks such as Agile Scrum and DevOps. He is a natural facilitator, motivated by helping colleagues achieve their goals.
